What Do You Think of My Blog?

I am excited to be part of a very unique blog hop. Gail @ My Repurposed Life and MeganDVD @ Beauty in the Attempt are hosting “The Bold and the Beautiful-your blog reviewed.”

Please take a look around my blog, check out the layout, pages, buttons,  sidebar and gadgets. I would love for you to critique my blog. I’m hoping you will leave me some positive feedback, too. Do you like my pictures? Does my blog load quickly for you? How about the font?  All tips and tidbits welcome!

You are welcome to join the party, it starts Thursday night and is open for a week.

Shanynee-Thanks so much for linking up!
I like the name of your blog and the header. (my niece calls me mommy ewe)
I would love to see your smiling face and a snippet of your profile on your front page at the top. Your visitors need to connect with you right away.
I suggest giving your followers prime real estate (closer to the top of your sidebar)

I recommend having your links open in a new window so that your visitors don't have to hunt for you using your back button. (you can email me for how to's)
I also recommend that you subscribe to your own comments (via email) and if you use a reader, subscribe to your own blog so you can see how other people see it in THEIR reader.
I hope you have your email visible on your profile so that when you comment on a blog, the blogger can email you a reply.
I think your blog is visually pleasing, and easy to navigate.
I hope you get some great feedback.

ps I suggest you turn off word verification. At least for a trial run. A lot of bloggers will just close the comment box if they have to type in the silly words.

Hello!

hopping over from the blog hop :)

I kinda love your header...a lot...

If I were to change anything, I would probably take that add from underneath the header off. It probably won't get a ton of clicks and is a bit distracting. I would add links to YOUR great content :)

Wow! Thank you, Gail, for your detailed critique! Those are great ideas--I really appreciate it! I'm new to this, so I can use all the advice I can get. :) Thank you, Thank you!!

Hey there, stopping by from the Blog Hop :0) I have a few teeny suggestions, but overall I think youre off to a great start here!! The pink lettering in your sidebar is a bit hard to focus the eye on. The pink and green combo is great, but maybe a tad softer? Also, have you thought about adding a Contact section?

Thank you Michelle! I would like to add a Contact section...but I have no idea how to do so. Any tips would be great! :)

Hi Shaynee!
poppin' in via the blog hop! very cute header! nice blog overall.. and your about me is great. would love to see a teensy bit of it on the actual home page though, right up top. :) my only critique is maybe to have your comments on the same page as the post, so it's easier to comment! [quicker]
many blessings,
-Tracie

Thank you my dear for linking up to our little party. YOu have such a delightful and playful little blog. I think you have the beginnings of a lovely start! My gentle suggestion is to keep your comments on the same page as the post so that your followers do not have to pull up your blog a 2nd time to use as reference as they browse through your little world. Once again these are just gentle thoughts. I know that taking a risk and putting yourself out there is very scary, but you should feel so proud and empowered. I hope that you are not a no-reply when dealing with comments. I always love being able to respond to my bloggers. Also...if you need anything, Gail and I would love to help. Just let us know what we can do. :)

Have a great week, and I hope this is the beginning of seeing more of you in the little blog world. :)

Cheers~
